Concerning the participation of the ICB in the Conference organised on
22.05.2021 in Bamako, on the topic of “The problematic of slavery”.
Following the invitation of M. N’Djim BOUBACAR - National Coordinator
and President of the Movement for the Preservation of Human Rights and M.
Diaguily Maro KANOUTE President of the Assembly of Mali for Fraternity and
Progress, some of ICB members participated online in this event. On this occasion,
the President of the ICB, Prof. Univ. Dr. Dragoș CHILEA made a statement that was
well received and appreciated by both the participants and organisers of the
conference.
The President of the ICB affirmed the will of the members of our association to
be actively involved in all actions regarding incriminating and banishing all form of
slavery and stated once more the will to cooperate on this topic with the traditional
chieftains.
The President’s statement was followed by the speech of the first Vice-
President of the ICB, M. Abouba Ali MAIGA, who outlined the specific manners in
which the ICB would support and participate in the fight against slavery in Mali and
the other African States.
Also participated in the conference other members of the ICB, of whom we
note General Secretary of the ICB, Prof. Univ. Dr. Jaume Antich Soler, and Prof. Dr.
Mădălina Botină, ombudsman for Constanța, member of the ICB.
