Mr. Ingo Klaus has been appointed as a judge of the Anwaltsgericht München (counsel’s disciplinary court of Munich) by the Bavarian Ministry of Justice for a period of 5 years, it's a proud that the members of the ICB continue achieving recognition at the individual level that affect the global prestige of the Bar.

In Germany there are specific state courts for cases of counsel’s misconduct. These courts (called Anwaltsgericht) are established at the seat of the bar authorities and can decide on sanctions reaching from admonishments to a permanent ban. All three judges forming a panel are lawyers with a bar admission. They are appointed for a period of five years by the Ministry of Justice.

The Anwaltsgericht München has four panels hearing cases of misconduct of more than 21000 members of the Munich bar authority.

Congratulations Mr. Klaus!
