Mr. Ingo Klaus has been appointed as a judge of the Anwaltsgericht München (counsel’s disciplinary court of Munich) by the Bavarian Ministry of Justice for a period of 5 years, it's a proud that the members of the ICB continue achieving recognition at the individual level that affect the global prestige of the Bar.
In Germany there are specific state courts for cases of counsel’s misconduct. These courts (called Anwaltsgericht) are established at the seat of the bar authorities and can decide on sanctions reaching from admonishments to a permanent ban. All three judges forming a panel are lawyers with a bar admission. They are appointed for a period of five years by the Ministry of Justice.
The Anwaltsgericht München has four panels hearing cases of misconduct of more than 21000 members of the Munich bar authority.

The Ludovic Trarieux Award Jury deplores the sentencing of Mahienour El-Massry, Human Rights Lawyer and 2014 Ludovic Trarieux Prize recipient
On 31 May 2015, El Raml Misdemeanour Court of Appeal in Alexandria sentenced human rights defenders Ms Mahienour El-Massry, Mr Youssef Shaban, and Mr Loay Mohamed Abdel Rahman to one year and three months' imprisonment.
In this case, while the defendants had gone to the police station to render legal assistance to activists who had been arrested after clashes between pro- and anti-Morsi factions, they were accused of storming the Al-Raml police station in Alexandria and attacking its officers. The defendants also were accused of torching Muslim Brotherhood headquarters in March 2013.
